Hattie Wright Cross Bolton, 90, of Rich Square, NC, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Alfred Wesley and Ophelia Colston Wright.

Hattie was preceded in death by her first husband, O. G. “Buck” Cross; her brother, Simon “Speck” Wright, and her sister, Emma Futrell.

She was retired as a lunchroom manager at Manning Elementary School and also was a manager of the Canteen at Halifax Memorial Hospital. Hattie also was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church.

Hattie is survived by her husband, James Bolton; her daughter, Carol C. Liles and her husband, Larry, of Lake Gaston, NC; her granddaughter, Mary Beth Wallace and her husband, Matt, of Wake Forest, NC; and her stepdaughter, Scarlet Norris of Rich Square, NC.

The family wishes to express sincere appreciation for the love and support that was extended to Hattie while she was at Rich Square Health Care.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services with Minister Greg Hand officiating.

Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services of Roanoke Rapids, NC.
